Houmas House, located in Darrow, LA, is called the "crown jewel of Louisiana's River Road." The collanade of this Classical Revival Mansion has remained the same since 1829, when General Wade Hampton began the task of enlarging the Donaldson Cottage that previously stood on the site. The current owner allows tours of the mansion and gardens, however the Houmas remains his private residence, as it was for its previous owners for over 240 years.
This piece is painted by hand on 18 mesh canvas and measures 6"x4". If you choose the "kitted with wool" option, we will include specially chosen colors of 3-ply Persian wool for stitching.
