Clementine Hunter Needlepoint

We are pleased to offer the works of Clementine Hunter (1887 - 1988), a prominent Louisiana folk artist who painted scenes of plantation life in rural Louisiana. Her paintings featuring rural life and religious themes are some of her most famous works, and her style translates particularly well to needlepoint. Please call or email us to order, or shop online!

Please call or email for current prices. In general, the Quarter Stitch quotes prices that include the hand-painted canvas and specially chosen colors of 3-ply Persian wool for stitching each canvas. If you prefer the canvas by itself, just let us know!

We have recently released a series of 4.5" diameter ornaments of Clementine Hunter's artwork! We are very excited about this new series and are working to keep them all in stock. These designs are now available individually.

We have just added these pieces to our online shop, but as always feel free to email us to order if you prefer.

Our traditional series of Clementine Hunter designs are on a larger scale, suitable for framing, upholstery, or pillows. These are almost all painted on 13 mesh canvas. We have just added these pieces to our online shop, but as always feel free to email us to order if you prefer.

These smaller designs are generally 6" x 6" and painted on 18 mesh canvas. They often feature details from Clementine Hunter's larger pieces. We have just added these pieces to our online shop, but as always feel free to email us to order if you prefer.
