Thank you for Celebrating our 50th Anniversary with us!
We're thrilled that we have been a part of the fabric of New Orleans for the past 50 years. This calls for a celebration!
To mark our anniversary year, we partnered with Dragonfly Fibers to produce four New Orleans-inspired colorways that have been released over the course of the year. All of our subscriptions have been mailed, so if you haven't received yours, yet, please let us know!
Our four special colorways are inspired by people who have been important to the history and culture of this city we love.
All of our special colors are dyed onto Dragonfly's Djinni base. Djinni is 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon. It is a fingering weight yarn, with approx 420 yds per 4.2 oz skein.
We have limited quantities of our anniversary colors left before they're gone forever! Call us or email us to reserve yours today. Or buy what is currently in stock here.
All of our colors are now out in the wild!
Our first Anniversary colorway, Queen of Voodoo, commemorates the influence of Marie Laveau on New Orleans. The accompanying cowl pattern is the Voodoo Queen Cowl!
With sad timing due to his recent demise, our third release, Such a Night, is in honor of Dr John. We've named the accompanying hat pattern Night Tripping.
Our second release is in honor of Irma Thomas, the Soul Queen of New Orleans. These herringbone fingerless gloves designed for the yarn are the Lion's Den Opera Gloves, named after Irma's New Orleans nightclub.
Our last anniversary colorway is inspired by the Queen Diva herself, Big Freedia. The colorway is named Queen of Bounce, and the accompanying pattern is Third Ward.
For our 50th anniversary, we have been painting ornaments based on the artwork of Clementine Hunter.
We will be releasing 4 sets of three ornaments each, and the first three are out now.
